Our company is beginning to develop a corporate mentoring program. Our second meeting to discuss this topic is this week. I haven't yet listened to the be an effective mentor podcast, but one item I saw caught my attention. "...corporate mentoring programs don't work..." Now, of course, everyone on the mentoring program team thinks it will work. Do we have any hope? What can we do to make it effective? thanks

I would suggest reviewing those podcasts. Really, they outline the reasons why most corporate mentoring programs don't work - and that can be used as a way to keep yours from being everything you *don't* want it to be.
It may be that you want to consider that a 'corporate mentoring program' is different from a 'traditional mentoring relationship'.
