Introduction - Tech Manager - San Diego

Hi. I'm a Technical Support/Training manager for a software company located in San Diego. I was promoted(forced) into this position by my peers since they all thought I could do it better. After an initial clean up of our department, I can finally start managing. I must say that this has been about the only site that has made "sense" to me. I knew our company was missing something when it came to the management/direct relationship. MT is helping me start something that I hope will catch on. -Jeff

Welcome Jeff. We all think it makes sense too. :)

Feel free to jump into the forums. It's safer to learn here than when your directs' careers are on the line.

Be prepared to work harder than you ever have before. Advice in the forums and the MT podcast series is transformational. I genuinely wish you the best of good fortune with your added responsibilities.

Hello Jeff. Welcome to the forums. I am also in San Diego along with I think 3-4 other MT listeners. We should get a meet-up going soon. - Steve
