Silver Spring seemed to be convenient for most people last time around so would people be able to make it to Bethesda?
Here are some possible dates:
September 18th
September 23rd
September 24th
BJ said that I can be in charge of this one, which means there is a two drink minimum and no one can order the salmon. Ha ... just kidding. Let me know if you'd like to come and I will start scouting locations.

As for scouting locations. I liked where we met last time. That worked well for me. It is a haul for Steve and Mike though. I don't know about the rest of you.
I'll show-up where ever you have it.

Seriously, anywhere is fine with me. This will be the last meet-up I'll be able to attend before the baby pops out, so I will make DARNED sure I can make it.

It looks like September 24th is the day that works for everyone. Are there specific agenda items that people want to talk about? I know I have a lot of questions for you guys, but I'm sure people don't want to talk about my issues all night. LOL. Let me know if there is a special way you want this structured.
I'll start scouting venues, but let's plan on meeting in Bethesda.
Thanks!

Hi, guys. I just want to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you! I have been insanely busy recently (and frankly need to make better use of the MT calendar management tool). I will post a location and some agenda topics for your consideration next week. Thanks.

It's extremely close to the metro if anyone is planning on taking the train and there is parking nearby. PM me if you want more guidance on parking and/or directions from the train.
Here is a very rough agenda, which I completely ripped off from BJ:
1. Welcome/Introductions if there are newcomers (7:00 p.m.) - Who you are, where you're from, when and why you discovered Manager Tools
2. Update from last meeting (7:15) – Have you overcome any of the challenges you mentioned in the last meeting? How did you do it and what was the outcome?
3. Your most powerful manager tool(s) (8:00 p.m.) Which tools have been the most successful/effective for you? Why? Are there any that you've tried that haven't worked?
4. Adjourn (9:00 p.m. or whenever)

Looks like I should be able to make it this time. Had to bow out of the San Antonio Conf at the last minute so i'm looking forward to getting a chance to meet up with all of you.
See you then.

I'm looking forward to tonight. Just wanted to provide a map where the restaurant is. You can see the blue M for Metro and there is a parking garage on Elm between Woodmont and Arlington. See you tonight!
I got the issue of the National Geographic on caffeine. It's January 2005. I skimmed it quickly, but didn't see anything about the renissance. However, lots of good stuff on caffeine.
Now the next question, if people are reading about our meet-up, will they be wondering why caffeine played such an important role in our discussion? We'll never let them know, will we?
Thank you all once again for a great evening. Kate you did an excellent job being our moderator. I leave these things being challenged to stay the course.
Blessings on you all,
Dave

At the San Antonio Communications Conference one of the items to take a look at was "stronger coffee". I'm starting to detect a trend. Not sure if this fits in the D, I, S or C quadrant. I'll continue my research early Monday morning. :)

At our last Meet-Up Kate assigned me the task of scheduling and leading our next one. January would be the month we should meet. So let me toss out a couple of dates and see how that works for everyone. Let's try to stay away from a Wednesday evening if at all possible. So how does one of the following dates look to you all? January 6, 8, 20, 22 or any Monday in the month?
Should I also start a new thread so that it gains more attention from those in the area who may not be on the discussion boards all that much?
I'll start looking for a location close to a Metro Stop. If you have any ideas let me know.

The 18th or 24th work best for me. I could do the 23rd but would have to reschedule around it. And I can do either Silver Spring or Bethesda.
I'm the cult of flexibility.
Llooking forward to it,

The only day that works for me is the 24th. I would like to attend, but I understand if it has to be one of the other dates.

PS: Kate told me about the thread, I'm sorry I'm so late weighing in on things.

All,
Silver Spring / Bethesda is fine with me. It's a small trip compared to the value of the discussions.

I would guess that most high D's are coffee addicts. My theme phrase is, "Too much is never enough."
Have a GREAT weekend.
