I'm going to a division leadership offsite next week. I asked my manager what the appropriate level of dress for the off site was and she said business casual. I'm briefing for 15 minutes on the second day and the audience includes several of our VPs so I want to make a good impression. How un-casual should I go? Sports coat and no tie, should I wear a tie? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

Always wear a suit to an interview...
or in this case, wear your most high-end biz casual attire. If it is too much, you can always lose the jacket and tie.
