I work for a small engineering / construction company with no HR department. As much of the HR responsibilities fall to supervisors and managers, we are looking for some training opportunities? Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks!

Several questions -
What country/state are you located in?
Were you looking at attending some training in person or other forms of resources such as websites etc?
And what specific type of HR training were you thinking of? Workplace legislation eg minimum conditions of employment, unfair dismissal laws etc or something more general?
I've had some experience with this being a small business owner (engineering company in Western Australia) but the resources are pretty specific to here.
MT has without a doubt been the best resource I've come across for learning how to manage people within an organisation though. Beats any training sessions I've been to (and paid lots of $$ for) hands down.
Cheers,
Michelle

If you are in the USA ...
I know in my local area there is a Society for Human Resouces Managers (SHRM) that meets bi-monthly and has been a good resource for help. The website also has information on all topics that may be helpful to you. http://www.shrm.org/Pages/default.aspx
